***KIDBIZ UPDATE***
Beginning this week, the Thought Question must be completed on an assigned KidBiz article. Monday of each week, we will discuss the article in class. This is the ONLY Thought Question that will be graded for the week. If Thought Question is completed on an article that is not assigned, it will not be graded. If for some reason your child has completed the assigned article in a previous week, the thought question MUST be completed the week it is assigned. If the activity has been completed in a previous week, another article must be done to have 2 articles completed during that week. Article title will be indicated on homework each week. The assigned articles will be on the home screen when you log in to KidBiz.
In an effort to utilize KidBiz in an effective way, Reading homework will be kept as minimal as possible, and a suggested daily computer assignment will be assigned.
Monday - Read assigned article and complete activity questions. *Additional reading of texts may be assigned
Tuesday - Reread article and begin thought question writing using the rubric in KidBiz. *Additional reading of texts may be assigned
Wednesday - Continue writing, revising, editing, and typing thought question. *Submit when completed* *Additional reading of texts may be assigned
Thursday - Lexia *Additional reading of texts may be assigned
Friday - Sunday: Complete KidBiz thought question if not completed during the week. *Additional reading of texts may be assigned
~Computer Homework will count as a participation grade for the corresponding subject at the end of each marking period~
*KidBiz - ELA Participation grade
*Lexia - ELA Participation grade
*First in Math - Math Participation grade
Lexia: Students need at least 30 minutes on Lexia for the week. Use clever login to access Lexia. Lexia will be checked on Friday each week.

First In Math: Students need at least 45 points each week and should be working on this nightly in addition to the assigned math homework sheet. First in Math will be checked on Friday each week. This will count as a participation grade each marking period.
KidBiz: 2 articles each week and will be checked on Friday for the week. 1 article MUST be completed AT SCHOOL. Students must answer questions with article earning 75% or higher on FIRST TRY. If first try score is below 75%, article does not count and another article must be done. 1 article each week must have thought question completed. Thought question should be completed at home. This will count as a participation grade each marking period.
